Subscription Terms
The Death Notice Pack on one page: what it includes, the free month, billing, renewal and cancellation. Updated 26 October 2026.
1. Summary
1.1 This page sets out, in plain terms, the rules of the Death Notice Pack subscription under the General Terms and Conditions of Funerar, a service published by Weeleaks Technology Limited (C 116871). It is accessible from the footer of every page. Last updated: 26 October 2026.
- Publishing a notice on the register is free and does not require a subscription.
- The Death Notice Pack costs EUR 19.00 per month; the first month is free.
- The subscription renews automatically each month until it is cancelled.
- It can be cancelled at any time from the account, without fees or notice.
- The memorial page remains online after the subscription ends.
2. What the subscription includes
2.1 The Death Notice Pack gives access to the memorial space of each notice published from the account: portrait and cover photo, photo gallery, biography, text from the family, song, page colour, and the choice of whether or not to display counters and tributes.
2.2 It also allows you to send by email an announcement card publicizing the memorial page to relatives, up to 50 recipients per send and 200 recipients per notice.
2.3 The subscription is attached to the account, not to a notice: a single subscription covers all notices published from that account.
2.4 Press publications are not included: they are paid separately, per item.
3. The free month
3.1 The subscription begins with a free period of thirty (30) days, with full access to the memorial space.
3.2 A bank card is registered at subscription, but nothing is charged during the free period. At its end, the subscription continues automatically at EUR 19.00 per month, unless cancelled beforehand. The date of the first charge is shown at the time of subscription.
3.3 Cancelling during the free period prevents any charge.
4. Price and taxes
4.1 The applicable price is the one shown at the time of subscription, in euros, before confirmation.
4.2 Prices include applicable taxes, including VAT due under EU rules on services supplied electronically.
5. Billing and renewal
5.1 Payment is made by bank card through Stripe. The subscription authorizes Funerar to charge the registered card on each renewal date. Funerar never stores card details.
5.2 Renewal is automatic and monthly, on the same date each month, until cancellation. There is no minimum commitment beyond the current month.
5.3 An invoice is issued for each charge.
6. What is sent by email
- a confirmation of the subscription;
- an invoice after each charge;
- a notice if a payment fails;
- a notice before any price change takes effect.
6.1 These messages are sent to the email address on the account, which the subscriber is responsible for keeping up to date.
7. Cancelling
7.1 The subscription may be cancelled at any time, free of charge and without notice:
- from the Billing page of your personal space — the fastest method, which takes effect immediately;
- by email to [email protected], from the email address on the account.
7.2 Cancellation stops the next renewal. Access to the memorial space continues until the end of the period already paid; that period is not refunded pro rata, except in the cases provided for in the Refund Policy.
7.3 A cancellation requested by email is recorded on the date the message is received.
8. Right of withdrawal
8.1 A consumer residing in the European Union or the EEA has fourteen (14) days from subscription to withdraw, without having to give reasons, in accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU and Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code.
8.2 As the first month is free, withdrawal within that period triggers no charge. Because access to the memorial space is opened immediately at the subscriber's express request, the rules applying after a charge are set out in the Refund Policy.
8.3 To withdraw, write to [email protected] from the email address on the account, within the time limit.
9. If a payment fails
- the payment is presented again within the following days, and an email invites the subscriber to update their card;
- a banner in the personal space gives direct access to update the payment method for as long as the problem persists;
- the subscription ends if it remains unpaid, with no fees or penalty.
9.1 Nothing is owed beyond the last period actually billed.
10. At the end of the subscription
10.1 The end of the subscription does not delete the notice or its memorial page. Content already published in the memorial space remains online, and tributes remain viewable.
10.2 However, editing the memorial space and sending new announcement cards are no longer possible. They become possible again once a new subscription is taken out.
10.3 To have a notice or its memorial page removed, see Article 6.7 of the General Terms and Conditions.
11. Price changes
11.1 A price change is notified by email at least thirty (30) days before it takes effect and applies from the next renewal. The subscriber may cancel free of charge before that date; otherwise the new price applies.
12. Closing the account
12.1 Account erasure is requested from the website's data erasure request page or by email to [email protected]. It results in the deletion of the notices, memorial pages, photos and tributes attached to the account, under the terms of the Privacy Policy.
12.2 Any ongoing subscription must be cancelled before the account is erased. Erasure does not, in itself, refund the current period.
13. Contact and complaints
13.1 Weeleaks Technology Limited (C 116871) — . Support: [email protected]. Billing: [email protected].
13.2 If a complaint remains unresolved, the consumer may, free of charge, refer the matter to a consumer mediator (médiateur de la consommation) or contact the European Consumer Centre in their country.
13.3 Subscribing constitutes acceptance of these Subscription Terms, the General Terms and Conditions and the Refund Policy, accessible from the footer of every page.
